Profile
The Munich School of Philosophy (HFPH) educates people in philosophy so that they critically conceive complex relations and gain orientation concerning existential questions. The aim is to make philosophical research and education available for the major social challenges of our time.
The HFPH provides extensive education in systematics and history of philosophy with a clearly structured, flexible curriculum. Apart from undergraduate and postgraduate studies, the HFPH also provides part-time continuing education combining philosophical depth with occupational experience. It is committed to the highest standards in research, promotes collaboration with other scientific fields and cooperates with universities to contribute philosophical perspectives to current scientific discourses.
Standing in the Jesuit tradition of education, the HFPH supports personal development and strengthens its students' skills regarding judgement and communication. The world-wide network of approx. 200 Jesuit universities also extends horizons beyond students' personal culture.
Located within Munich's university district with high academic standards, the HFPH offers an informal atmosphere, excellent supervision and a campus which creates space for dialogue and social impact.
